Goeothermal UK Limited was formed in 2008 (after several years of planning and preparation). It is the sister company of Severn Bore Piling Limited. The company was formed in response to the growing number of requests for geothermal boreholes. As there were several experienced drillers within the ranks of Severn Bore Piling, it was an obvious move to purchase new rigs and form the new company. The managing director of Geothermal UK Ltd spent several years visiting drill sites in the UK and Europe. He also spent many hours with companies and individuals who had vast experience in the drilling industry. As a result, Geothermal UK Ltd purchased two new SOILMEC drilling rigs, a PSM 16GT and a PSM 8GT. The rigs were selected for their outstanding capabilities, SOILMEC's track record of good service and the safety systems fitted to the rigs. The two rigs are supported by a mud puppy and lorry mounted loop handling system and grouting plant (See 'Drilling Rigs & Equipment' page). We are a company committed to providing a quality service.
